Frequently Asked Questions
A deep-seat sofa has a seat depth of about 24 inches or more, compared with roughly 20–22 inches on a standard sofa. That extra depth lets you sit cross-legged, curl up, or stretch out. Our Austin-built collections range from a 22" seat (Wallace, Domain, Rainey) up to 32" (Lago Vista).
Measured seat depths from our product pages: Lago Vista and Red River 32", Bonnell 30", Mas Mesa and Menchaca 29", Brentwood 28", Austonian 27", and Mesa, Track, Cedar Park, Bouldin, Cherrywood and Sunset Valley 24". Every product page lists the seat depth, seat height, and a 1–5 firmness rating so you can compare before you visit.
If you're 6' or taller, look for at least 27" of seat depth plus a tall back. The Mas Mesa pairs a 29" seat with tall back cushions and a 47" overall depth; Lago Vista goes to 32"; and Brentwood (28") is our firmest deep seat at 5 out of 5. Seat heights on these run 18–19".
The Fluffy is built for exactly that: low, modular, and filled with our Trillium synthetic down instead of foam, on a European webbing foundation. Add an ottoman to make a lounge. If you prefer a bit more support, the Mas Mesa (29" seat, medium 3/5 firmness) is the other one couples gravitate to.
Current prices: Austonian 95" (27" seat) $1,499.99, Lago Vista 92" (32") $2,199.99, Menchaca 101" (29") $2,199.99, Mas Mesa 88" (29") $2,499.99, and Mas Mesa 101" $2,599.99. In leather, the Mas Mesa 88" is $3,699.99. 0% APR financing is available through Affirm.
Some are. Mesa, Mas Mesa and Brentwood come in all of our leathers. Lago Vista, Menchaca, Bonnell, Austonian, Cedar Park and the Fluffy are fabric only. Order free leather or fabric swatches from our swatch page.
