Custom Sofas & Couches — Handmade in Austin, Texas
Every sofa at Couch Potatoes is built to order in our Austin, TX factory — and you can watch it being made. Unlike mass-produced couches from big-box stores, our custom sofas are built to order in 8-10 weeks with your choice of 100+ performance fabrics and premium leathers.
Whether you're looking for a deep-seat sofa, a mid-century modern sofa, or a sleeper sofa, every piece is handcrafted with kiln-dried hardwood frames, high-density foam cushions, and your exact fabric choice.
Our Austin-made collections include the Fluffy (Cloud Couch alternative), the Mesa (deep-seat comfort), the Track (28 configurations), the Ladybird (mid-century), and the Wallace (tufted elegance). Each available in fabric or leather.
Order up to 10 free swatches or visit our Central Austin showroom at 7521 N Lamar Blvd. 0% APR financing available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our Austin-built fabric sofas currently start at $999.99 (Rainey 83"), with leather from $1,999.99 (Rainey 83" Leather). No middleman markup, and 0% APR financing through Affirm.
Most fabric orders are ready in 8-10 weeks and leather in 10-12, not the 18-20 weeks that's standard for custom furniture. We have the fastest custom furniture turnaround in the country.
Yes! 100+ fabrics and premium leathers including stain-resistant performance fabrics, velvets, linens, and full-grain leathers. Order up to 10 free swatches. Note that some collections, like the Fluffy, are fabric only.
Fluffy = plushest (Trillium synthetic-down cushions). Mesa = deep seat (24"; Mas Mesa 29"). Track = most versatile. Ladybird = mid-century. Wallace = tufted/untufted elegance. Every product page lists seat depth, seat height and firmness. Visit our showroom to sit on each.
Look at width and how the pieces arrive. The Rainey 83" ($999.99) and our apartment sofas are scaled for smaller rooms, and modular collections arrive in sections that fit through tight doors and stairwells. Check the schematic PDF on any product page for exact dimensions.
Our Austin-built furniture has a limited lifetime warranty on the frame, European webbing and springs, plus one year on foam and one year on fabrics and leathers. See our warranty page for details.
